This March, I return to the stage in the title role of Aida with Southern Ontario Lyric Opera, in a powerful concert presentation of Verdi’s epic masterpiece. Performed on March 7th at 7:30pm at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, this one-night-only performance brings together sweeping drama, intimate emotional stakes, and some of the most iconic music ever written for the soprano voice.

Aida is a role that sits at the crossroads of strength and vulnerability, duty and desire. Her journey demands both vocal power and emotional truth, and I am thrilled to bring this extraordinary character to life under the baton of Maestro Sabatino Vacca. From the soaring lyricism of “Ritorna vincitor” to the stillness and sacrifice of the final act, Aida remains one of Verdi’s most compelling heroines.

This concert performance offers a focused, musically rich experience of the opera’s grandeur, ideal for seasoned opera lovers and newcomers alike.
